Treasure Your Privacy?
If you think your privacy is protected, go to www.google.com and type in your phone number. You will be surprised at how much information about you will appear. We are losing more privacy every day but it doesn't seem to concern most Americans. We fill out the blanks on questionnaires without asking ourselves, Why do they want that information? Why do they need that information. My mother has been dead for nearly thirty years. My maternal grandmother has been dead for 60 years and yet my mother's maiden name lives on a secret code word on credit card accounts, frequent flyer accounts, you name it. Whenever I think about my dearly departed mother I always think of her as Mom, Ma or other familiar appellation not Maria oops I almost gave away the sacred maiden name. So I use her name as a secret password and I don't complain because everytime I use it I am reminded of her. But more about Big Brother in my next blog. And to you Mom - RIP. Readers let me hear you comments about privacy at criticalcurmudgeon@yahoo.com.
